Tá sliabh in ann na ceachtanna a leanas a mhúineadh:
Muineann sliabh go ndéanann obair crua críochnú álainn leis an slí a shiúl go dtí an barr an radharc álainn a fheiceáil. Tugtar duais go deo.
Múineann sliabh go bhfuil a lán radharcanna difríocht ar ár bhfadhbanna cosúil le tá radharcanna éagsúil ag sliabh a fheiceáil air.
Múineann sliabh go bhfuil an oiread seo slíthe an bharr a shroic ach aon treo profa iontaofa go ghnáth.A mountain can teach the following lessons:
Múineann sliabh chun dul leis an gluaiseacht saoil dála a téann siúlóirí leis an gluaiseacht na bhfánaí sléibhe agus treo níos easca a fháil. Is deacair speancaireacht ach mar nár tú ag obair leis na tanaí nádúrtha an tsléibhe agus is féidir leis an treo is díreach a glacadh chuige an barr bheith contúirteach de bhrí go at leanadh na cosán smolchaite a leannaíonn na fanaí níos mín sriochfaidh tú sabháilte is taitneamh a baint as siúlóid. Dul leis an gluaiseacht na bhfanaí sléibhe agus gheobhaidh tú treo níos easca.
Táimid tarraingthe go sléibhte mar an saoirse a thugann siad dúinn. Má daoine a tharraingt isteach i do shaol atá uait, is gá duit daoine a tabhairt spás a bheith iad féin. Dála a thugann sliabh spás do daoine a fuaidreadh go saor, spás a tabhairt le daoine a bheith iad féin go follasach agus ligeann iad a mothú socair.
Tá an oiread sin rúin ag sliabh ó na aoiseanna agyc coinníon iad go daingean. Ar an gcaoi seo is féidir linn foghlaim go bhfuil scéal aonair a bheith a ráite ag gach duine.
Is féidir le sliabh peirspíocht a mhúiniú ar ár bhfadhbanna mar tugann siad radharc tharstu dála a ardaím suas agus féachaint ar an cosán a tháinigeamar suas ag giollacht an áit atáimid anois, le níos mó eagnaíocht agus inneach níos fearr, feabhas mór crainn le na dúshláin a bhí againn.
Is féidir le sliabh uirísle a mhúineadh, a aois agus taighde ag líneadh ar ais sn'aoiseanna agus a carraigí ag dul siar nuair an Domhan ag tosú a cumadh, dár dtabhairt fírinne turnamh réaltachta, i ndathanna liath agus donn uirísle, eochair do stair do daoine le samhlaíocht agus grá iontais. Is a ngránmhianaigh agus cnaga ceangailtais díreach go dtí an bun mara imithe fadó nó ó na doimhneacha bulcán, is dúrúnda a deireadh caite.
A mountain teaches that hard work gives beautiful accomplishments by way of hiking to the top to see the beautiful view etc. Effort is always rewarded.
A mountain teaches that there are many different perspectives for looking at our problems just as a mountain has various angles to enjoy viewing.
A mountain teaches that are so many ways to reach the top but usually one tried and trusted route
A mountain teaches us to go with the flow of life just as hikers go with the flow of the mountain slopes and find an easier route. Rock climbing is difficult because you are not working with the natural slopes of the mountain and taking the most direct route to the top can be dangerous whereas by following a well-worn path that follows the gentler slopes of the mountain you will arrive safe and enjoy a nice hike. Go with the flow of the mountain slopes and you will find an easier way.
We are attracted to mountains because of the freedom they give us. If you want to attract people into your life, you need to give people the space to be themselves. Just as a mountain gives people room to roam freely, giving space to people to be openly themselves lets them feel at ease.
A mountain has so many secrets from the aeons and holds them tight. In this way we can learn that everyone has a unique story to be told.
A mountain can teach perspective on our problems by giving us an overview of them just as we hike up it and view the path we have come leading up to where we are now with more wisdom and with better stamina, all the better for the challenges we have faced.
A mountain can teach humility, its age and size stretching back into the aeons and its rocks date from when Earth was beginning to form, giving us a humbling truth of reality, in humble grey and brown tones, a key into the past for those with imagination and a sense of wonder. Their grains and cracks a direct link to the bottom of long-gone seas or from the depths of volcanoes, their past existence a mystery.
